Since joining the company in October 2013, Romain L. has developed his expertise in various departments. From his beginnings in the design office to his current role as industrial quality manager, he has been able to use his technical, product and regulatory knowledge to meet the demands of his job.

A development characterised by versatility

With 11 years of service, Romain Lagarde has witnessed several organisational developments. His career began as a draughtsman-designer in the design office, where he quickly became interested in the standards governing product design. This taste for regulation and continuous improvement led him to join the Technical Methods department, before moving to the Quality department. His ability to understand and optimise manufacturing processes while complying with normative requirements makes him a key player in the organisation.

Missions at the crossroads of several areas of expertise

Today, as industrial quality manager, Romain L. is at the crossroads of several departments: quality, design office and manufacturing workshop. His tasks are many and require a global vision. In particular, he is responsible for drawing up technical files, which include all regulatory requirements, assembly plans, procedures and risk analysis.

These files are essential, particularly during the annual audits that assess the organisation and the suitability of working methods in relation to current standards.

In addition, they define and implement protocols for inspecting equipment after manufacture, thus ensuring that it complies with standards before shipment. They also work on the software programming of equipment in collaboration with service providers and assist workshop teams in solving any assembly problems.

This diversity of tasks enables them to maintain and expand their knowledge while ensuring rigorous monitoring of product quality.

A technical challenge: the consumption of Nocospray

Among the many challenges he has taken up, the one related to Nocospray remains particularly striking. Differences in consumption had been observed depending on the filling level of the bottles. After more than 1,000 tests and a meticulous analysis of the control methods, he came up with an effective solution: the addition of a double verification phase, with a full bottle followed by a half-empty bottle, ensuring optimal consumption in all circumstances.

This type of challenge illustrates the essence of his job: analysing, testing and continuously improving processes to guarantee product reliability.

A pronounced taste for risk analysis

What most motivates Romain L. in his daily work is the diversity of his job and the importance of risk analysis. Detecting potential weaknesses, anticipating problems and proposing appropriate solutions are an integral part of his role. This proactive approach enables him to provide effective support to the teams and to make continuous improvements to products and processes.

The importance of customer feedback

Although he has little direct contact with customers, he remains attentive to their feedback, which is a valuable source of improvement. ‘Whether positive or negative, your feedback enables us to evolve and optimise our products. Thanks to you, we have made changes that make the equipment easier to use and improve your experience.’

Always striving for improvement, Romain L. continues his commitment to impeccable quality, combining high standards, rigour and innovation.
